India’s First LTE Based 4G Service 
Officially Launches by Airtel in Kolkata: Tariff Plans & Devices

Today, Airtel India  official launched 4G service in India. The Airtel 4G (TD-LTE) is now available in Kolkata only. It'll give you up to 40Mbps bandwidth and can be use in some devices including airtel 4G-LTE USB modem (Huawei E392) and airtel 4G LTE Indoor Wireless Gateway (Huawei B593) with discount tariff plans.

Airtel 4G is based on TD-LTE technology (Time Division Duplex 
Long Term Evolution) network was launched by Mr. Kapil Sibal, Hon’ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India at an event organized by Airtel.

You can access Airtel 4G services anywhere as Airtel offers a wide range of devices including Airtel 4G-LTE USB modem
 (Huawei E392) and Airtel 4G LTE Indoor Wireless Gateway (Huawei B593). The price of the 4G USIM will be Rs. 49 only and Airtel 4G multi mode dongle will be available at cost Rs7999 and indoor WiFi with CEP will cost you Rs. 7750.


Airtel also introduces some introduction tariff plan offers knows as Breakfree, Breakfree Max and Breakfree Ultra. The Breakfree plan has a monthly rental of Rs.999 offering 6GB usage, Breakfree Max offers 9GB usage for Rs.1,399 and Breakfree Ultra offers 18GB usage for Rs.1,999. Also the postpaid 999 users will get discount of Rs. 167 per bill for 6 months and 1,399 users will get discount of Rs. 466 per bill for 6months.
Airtel 4G will allow you to browse with all ultra high speed like High 
Definition (HD) video streaming and Airtel also offering wide range of Value Added Services like Airtel Movies, Airtel games, Airtel Broadband TV, Live Devotion etc.

After successful launch in Kolkata, Airtel will be launching 4G in Bangalore this month followed by Pune and in Chandigarh. Airtel was bid for BWA license spectrum in Kolkata, 
Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai) circles in year 2010 and now they successfully roll out the much waiting ultra high speed next generation technology 4G services in country. Its first 4G services in India based on LTE though BSNL already launched Wimax based 4G services in 2010.

Now we can also hope to see some of new smartphones with 4G capability to be available soon in Indian market after this 4G launch in India.
